A global haircare company with one of the fastest growing, most inclusive, and best reviewed brands, are currently looking for a Trade Planner to join their team.

This role will seek out opportunities for driving growth across our direct-to-consumer & marketplace channels. You'll develop the trading plans and forecasting, and develop the reporting systems and processes required to successfully drive international growth. Develop and support the execution of DTC (direct to consumer) and marketplaces trading strategy to drive growth and meet the business sales forecast.

The Role:

  • Deliver regular product performance insight and sales analysis highlighting trends and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through cross channel analysis and understanding the interplay of sales across DTC, marketplaces, and retail.
  • Working closely with the retail team to understand planned activity, future strategy and how this may impact on DTC and marketplace channels.
  • Ensure teams have access and visibility to the product level information they need to make data driven decisions in their areas.
  • Analysis of promotional activity ensuring this remains profitable.
  • Make recommendations of promotional activity and timing required to meet budgeted sales.
  • Forecast unit and revenue sales at product level for all DTC and marketplace channels considering top line sales plans, planned DTC and marketplaces promotional activity and planned activity in 3rd party retailers.
  • Review forecast vs. actuals highlighting differences to the supply chain team and taking learnings forward for future forecasts.
  • Maintaining the data that inputs into reporting within Shopify interface
  • Ensuring marketplace agencies have the correct data to setup products accurately and rectifying issues identified through reporting.


  • Experience in omni-channel / direct-to-consumer retail.
  • Experience within the beauty category would be useful but not essential.
  • Experience of trading ecommerce and marketplace channels, demonstrable knowledge of the levers which impact trade.
  • Successful track record in accurate forecasting of high-volume continuity categories across multiple channels.
  • Confident working with a range of reporting tools and less than perfect data, pragmatic
  • Highly numerical, an ability to distil numbers into a narrative that is clear and concise
  • Logical thinker with questioning approach who can evolve merchandising contribution as the company grows.
