About Our Client 
Our client is a market leading food business, delivering weekly to thousands of families across the UK. 

About the Role

This is an extremely high-profile role within the business, reporting into a board director.  They are looking for a consumer champion who will drive consumer insight and develop propositions which will deliver  first-class product experiences for consumers tailored to their individual needs.  
  
The role is focused on ‘non -food’ propositions for the business – such as ‘plastic reduction’, ‘next day delivery’, packaging and other sustainability projects as well as pricing strategy. 
  
You will work closely with an insights, tech and digital teams and use a mixture of internal and external data, a knowledge of current trends, competitor activity, etc to inform attitudes, needs and usage, to develop propositions to ensure the best consumer experience – for everything outside of food propositions.
  
Responsibilities
  • Own the proposition road-map for ‘non-food’ projects using a test and learn approach, to step-change business performance
  • Build proposition briefs and work with the insights team to test early stage ideas to make sure efforts are focused on projects which will have the biggest impact.
  • Own pricing strategy
  • Own sustainability strategy
  • Present back plans and business propositions to CEO, CFO, COO
  • Lead a team of 3-4 direct reports - project managers, innovation managers
You must have the following experience
  • Ideally FMCG / Retail background
  • Proven track record of driving growth through innovation
  • Experience of working in a start-up/ scale-up/ high-growth business an advantage.
  • You will have achieved success in a similar environment and will be a key influencer delivering results through people
  • You will have line managed with the ability to build and empower a high performing team
  • E-commerce experience would be a plus
