Head of Digital Marketing – Maternity Contract , Greater London Salary £75,000-85,000 12mth FTC
Our client is a Global player in drinks and they are looking for a Head of Digital Marketing with FMCG expertise gained client side or perhaps with a mix of agency and client side experience, to head up their newly formed Digital marketing function which has been created to accelerate Digital marketing across the brand marketing teams.
About the role: Working across a strategically important portfolio of brands with both a UK and International focus you will directly manage a team of 5 and provide thought leadership and guidance to the brand teams.
The key focus of the role is to be responsible for the business and brand digital marketing strategy and to evolve new business capability from the ground up.
You will establish and lead a digital agency roster who will act as an extension to your team and build an International capability programme.
You will also be responsible for setting the global standards for this digital centre of excellence - using a test and learn approach and making sure the brand teams’ digital plans are best in class, and be entirely responsible for the social content strategy.
To be successful you will need champion a start-up mentality and be used to influencing and challenging the status quo. This is a transformational role rather than a care-taking position and our client needs to have the digital agenda progressing during this 12 month contract.
You will need the following experience and skills:
Proven track record in leading, developing the Digital Marketing agenda within an FMCG or retail business- preferably at an International level.
Able to define digital best practice across a portfolio of brands at a Senior level and execute world class campaigns across paid, owned and earned.
Drive efficiency and effective measurement across brands and markets.
Drive for the integration of brand marketing places with digital and social marketing.
Identify cross portfolio opportunities for test and learn.
Lead and manage agency partners
Proven experience in developing digital capabilities within teams – strong coaching skills.
Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build cooperative, productive relationships with internal teams, external agencies and be able to influence as senior level.
