Our client is extremely well regarded with company offices in the US as well as UK and whilst not a start up, their business certainly has the feel of a smaller business gearing up for an ambitious growth phase. Their products are sold B2B through customers such as Pets at Home and through distributors to pet specialist retailers and veterinary clinics. About the role: You will report into a Head of Marketing and work closely with the sales teams and product managers to translate the global marketing strategy into plans for key retail channels. It will be your responsibility lead the establishment of a channel marketing function. Your role will be to develop and implement strategic plans and design channel campaigns which focus on market and consumer needs and ultimately drive category growth in partnership with retail and distributor accounts. The position will best suit someone from a trade or channel marketing background who has had some experience with FMCG or consumer products and working with distributors. Perhaps someone who now wants to take a step back from larger corporate organisations. Location - Surrey. Responsibilities: In collaboration with sales and product managers create new product launch stories for customers Drive trade marketing strategy, planning and executed strategic initiatives for key accounts Plan market activation calendars by channel and by key account considering all retailer marketing platforms. Recommend best range segmentation and range selection by retailer (planogram creation, etc) Produce educational tools and materials to support channel marketing and sell-through Budget management Track, measure and report on KPIs and effectiveness of retailer activity and channel strategy that will drive performance and revenue. Responsible for developing a Channel Marketing Executive and a graphic designer in the US. The Experience, skills and behaviours needed for the role: Proven experience in any combination of trade or channel marketing experience Proven retail channel and distributor experience. Marketing skills: events, online, direct mail Planogram software experience. Strong project management skills Stakeholder management skills. Line management experience would be beneficial You need to be a self-starter, willing to roll up your sleeves and able to manage some ambiguity – this company feels start up, but gearing up to change. Able to work at a fast pace and work on multiple projects with accuracy. Strong team player. Must love animals – dogs in particular. Must have use of a car. Head of Digital Marketing – Maternity Contract , Greater London Salary £75,000-85,000 12mth FTC Our client is a Global player in drinks and they are looking for a Head of Digital Marketing with FMCG expertise gained client side or perhaps with a mix of agency and client side experience, to head up their newly formed Digital marketing function which has been created to accelerate Digital marketing across the brand marketing teams. About the role: Working across a strategically important portfolio of brands with both a UK and International focus you will directly manage a team of 5 and provide thought leadership and guidance to the brand teams. The key focus of the role is to be responsible for the business and brand digital marketing strategy and to evolve new business capability from the ground up. You will establish and lead a digital agency roster who will act as an extension to your team and build an International capability programme. You will also be responsible for setting the global standards for this digital centre of excellence - using a test and learn approach and making sure the brand teams’ digital plans are best in class, and be entirely responsible for the social content strategy. To be successful you will need champion a start-up mentality and be used to influencing and challenging the status quo. This is a transformational role rather than a care-taking position and our client needs to have the digital agenda progressing during this 12 month contract. You will need the following experience and skills: Proven track record in leading, developing the Digital Marketing agenda within an FMCG or retail business- preferably at an International level. Able to define digital best practice across a portfolio of brands at a Senior level and execute world class campaigns across paid, owned and earned. Drive efficiency and effective measurement across brands and markets. Drive for the integration of brand marketing places with digital and social marketing. Identify cross portfolio opportunities for test and learn. Lead and manage agency partners Proven experience in developing digital capabilities within teams – strong coaching skills. Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build cooperative, productive relationships with internal teams, external agencies and be able to influence as senior level.
