Ball and Hoolahan was established in 1988 by marketing professionals to provide career advice and assistance to experienced marketers looking for their next career move, and to help leading brand owners grow their profits by providing great marketers. We remain privately owned and owner managed and are proud to be a niche, specialist Marketing Recruitment Consultancy.

Over more than 25 years Ball and Hoolahan has built a brand reputation as the leader in Marketing Recruitment  based on long term relationships and positive referrals.We  have worked with the UK’s leading brands and we have advised and  found career moves for thousands of new and experienced marketing professionals. Many are now leaders of brand owning organisations across a spectrum of FMCG and Consumer brands.

Our success has been based on our people , our marketing strategy and our unique culture . We have consistently recruited experienced Marketers who are able to give personal and insightful career advice while also able to quickly understand client cultures and role requirements.  Since 1988 many of  our consultants have provided amazing stability and continuity for candidates and clients. We are also proud that some of our ex-consultants are still contributing to raising the standard of recruitment  in other recruiters,  while  some have gone on to great roles in client organisations.

Our success has also come about because we have consistently reinforced our  brand image which is driven by word of mouth and recommendation, by heavyweight and salient  advertising in key publications. The key has been  Marketing Week who we have consistently advertised with since 1988 , but other magazines like  Marketing, Campaign and Research have played their part . We have maintained this strategy by continuing to  invest in the key routes to market with digital media in the ascendancy we are constantly updating our media strategy to support our brand.

Our success is also linked to our unique culture. We remain essentially a niche business with owner managers who are actively involved as consultants in delivering the brand proposition.
