This has been a big area of growth over the last 15years, in part due to shifting trends in economic and social behaviours, such as eating & drinking at home, and in part due to the strategy of localising the activation of global brands.  This increased emphasis on insight led activation and promotion within the retail trade has led to roles which require strong analytical capabilities, combined with commercial savvy, an understanding of the retail environment and the personality to influence and implement a brand’s activation strategy.
